What a photography tour is like

Sunrise in the dunes

We sleep near Merzouga to be there for first light, even if the accommodation is simpler.

See Merzouga

Sunset in Chefchaouen

From the viewpoint, or in Aït Ben Haddou. Early in the morning the blue streets are almost empty.

Longer stops

The driver knows good spots in the Atlas, the Dades and the Todra.

Fewer places

That's the trade-off. To cover a lot of ground, a regular tour suits you better.

Customs and etiquette

Drones in Morocco

Drones are heavily restricted and may need prior authorisation; without it, customs will probably hold on to yours. Check the current rules with official sources before you pack it. For the rest of your gear, read what to pack for Morocco, and message us with what you want to photograph.

Frequently asked questions: Photography tours

Can I bring a drone to Morocco?

Drone use is heavily restricted and bringing one in may require prior authorisation from the authorities. If you don't have it, there is a good chance it will be held at customs. Always check with official sources before you travel.

Is it easy to photograph people in Morocco?

It has to be done with respect: ask permission before photographing someone and accept no for an answer. Some street performers or vendors may ask for a tip in exchange for the photo.

Do the photography tours include a professional photographer?

Our photography tours are planned around the light and the locations, with a Spanish-speaking driver. If you would like a specialist photographer or guide to come with you, ask us and we will check availability.

Can't find the right trip?

Tell us your dates, how many people are travelling and what you'd like to see. Within 24 hours we'll send you a route and a price.
