Erg Chebbi dunes, nights under the stars and the kasbah route

Eight routes from Marrakech and from Fez, 3 to 5 days, all private with a driver.
You reach the dunes in the late afternoon, nearly always by camel. Only the Superior and luxury camps have a private bathroom, and in winter you'll be glad of it. On private tours the vehicle is paid per day and split between everyone, while accommodation is per person: the more of you there are, the less each person pays. There's more in sleeping in the Moroccan desert and the best time to visit. If you're unsure about the pace, message us.
To reach the Merzouga dunes we recommend at least 3 days and 2 nights. The road crosses the Atlas and passes Aït Ben Haddou and the Dades Valley. If you only have one day, the alternative is the Agafay desert near Marrakech, which is stony and has no sand dunes.
Merzouga has much higher dunes and more dramatic scenery, but it means more hours on the road. Zagora is closer to Marrakech and works for short trips. If you can give it at least 3 days, we recommend Merzouga.
Yes, especially between November and February, when nights can be very cold. The camps have thick blankets, but we recommend bringing warm clothes, a hat and a jacket. In summer the nights are mild and pleasant.
It depends on the category. Superior and luxury camps have tents with a private bathroom, shower and a proper bed. In standard camps the bathrooms are usually shared. We tell you the type of camp on each tour.
Tell us your dates, how many people are travelling and what you'd like to see. Within 24 hours we'll send you a route and a price.
